This can be made in whatever size you want. These are just some basic numbers to get you started! (Hint: However much flour and butter you add, just divide the number to figure out how many cups of milk needed!)
8 T. flour
8 T. butter
grandpa salt (to taste)
minced onion/garlic salt if desired
4 cups of milk
grated cheese
elbow macaroni--cooked
Melt the butter in a pan. When melted, whisk in flour/seasonings to combine. Add milk slowly to ensure no clumps. (Tip: If you heat the milk in the microwave first, you don't have to stand over the hot stove and stir for quite as long!) As it thickens, stir in a little bit of your grated cheese. Stir until thickened. Add cooked elbow macaroni. Stir. Pour into pan and sprinkly with cheese--once in the middle and once on top! Bake at 350 degrees until cheese is nice and bubbly on top and dish is heated through!
