Special K Bars

I know we all love this recipe. Sorry it hasn't been posted till now!

Crush:
9 cups Special K (You can do this by hand in a bowl, or place it in a large ziploc bag and crush with a rolling pin. Either way works.)
Set aside.

Next:
2 1/4 cup sugar
2 1/4 cup karo syrup
4 T. butter

Mix the above ingredients in a sauce pan and bring to a boil.
Remove from heat and add:

2 cups peanut butter
1 tsp. salt

Mix well and pour over crushed Special K cereal and mix again till everything is incorporated. Spread into a pan. (You need at least a 9x13 size pan for this!)

Melt:
1/2 bag chocolate chips
1/2 bag of butterscotch chips

Pour over top of bars and spread well. Enjoy!
